MBIE  is currently consulting on proposed regulations under section 322 of the Accident Compensation Act 2001 to:

• add the following eight occupational groups to the definition of registered health professional:  anaesthetic technology; dental hygiene; dental therapy; dietetics; optical dispensing; osteopathy; psychology; psychotherapy; and
• add pharmacists as an occupational group as providers
