Emissions Trading Scheme Review  

The Government is reviewing the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme (NZ ETS). This discussion document invites submissions to help determine the future direction of the NZ ETS, ie Aotearoa new Zealand’s response to climate change.

While the document  sets out the issues on which the Government is consulting; the objective, content and drivers for the review; and includes the review’s terms of reference, it does not cover the co- benefits to health of reducing emissions, nor the costs of not acting to limit climate change.
