The Ministry is seeking feedback on two proposed amendments to the way nurse practitioners and midwives prescribe controlled drugs for their patients. The aim of the proposals is to improve patient access to timely care, make best use of the skills within the nurse practitioner and midwifery workforces, and reduce patient cost.
